The two Palestinians were detained as they tried to cross the fence into the occupied territories, an eyewitness told The Anadolu Agency.

The Zionist army has not commented on the incident yet.

Over 20 Palestinians have been arrested since October as they tried to cross from Gaza into occupied Palestine to search for jobs, according to Palestinian rights groups.

Unemployment and poverty rates in the Gaza Strip have both exceeded 50 percent, according to the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics.

Gaza's labor union estimates that nearly 30,000 workers in the Gaza Strip are jobless due to the Zionist recent offensive on the Gaza Strip in addition to nearly 170,000 who have lost their work because of the years-long Zionist blockade.

At least 2,160 Palestinians were killed and nearly 11,000 injured in a 51-day Zionist offensive on the Gaza Strip in July and August.

The offensive came to a halt on August 26 under an Egyptian-brokered cease-fire between the occupation entity and Palestinian resistance factions.
