Zionist forces shot and killed a Palestinian-American youth during clashes on Friday.

USA: State Department spokeswoman Jen PsakiZionist forces shot and killed a Palestinian-American youth during clashes on Friday, the U.S. State Department said, calling for a quick and transparent investigation.

Arrawa Hammad, 14, was shot in the head with live ammunition by a Zionist sniper during clashes in Silwad village in the Ramallah province, Ahmed al-Beitawi, director of the Ramallah Medical Center, said.

The boy had succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital, al-Beitawi added.

In Washington, U.S. State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki called for a "speedy and transparent investigation."

"The United States expresses its deepest condolences to the family of a U.S. citizen minor who was killed by the Israeli Defense Forces during clashes in Silwad on October 24," Psaki said.

She added that U.S. officials would remain "closely engaged with the local authorities, who have the lead on this investigation."

At least ten other Palestinians were also injured by rubber bullets – and one by live ammunition – during the clashes.

Tensions have flared as the Jewish Sukkot holiday has brought increased visits by Jews accompanied by Zionist police to the Jerusalem holy site.
